ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Within the framework of the World Design Capital CDMX 2018 designation, we present the educational program that aims to promote academic links and generate a collaboration platform between universities, faculties and educational institutions of design and architecture.

Each university will develop a theoretical-practical program within the respective campus to debate the most important aspects of city life from the perspective of socially responsible design. The objective is to disseminate among students the importance of carrying out actions to improve the lives of the inhabitants from their training ground as designers and promote dialogue and meetings between different universities within the same program.
The WDC CDMX 2018 platform seeks to identify common challenges regarding the improvement of life in our city and generate commitments for professional action from different spheres of citizenship, in this case academic and student spheres. This inter-university project, from a multidisciplinary methodology, will offer cycles of talks and activities focused on the intersection of fields such as design, innovation, architecture, urban planning, creative economy and public policies. The program will run from March to October 2018. Students will have access to the complete annual program at each of the university campuses.

LOCAL DESIGN PROGRAM
Within the framework of the World Design Capital CDMX 2018 designation and as part of the official program, a local design agenda is presented announcing existing city projects and initiatives that have been consolidated within the local cultural scene.

The meaning of this agenda is to generate a collective timeline and communicate from the WDC CDMX 2018 platform the independent events with their respective dates and venues in order to build a common 2018 calendar that jointly strengthens professional efforts within this community. .

Each of the projects will be related to the transversal thematic axes of the entire project. Through this agenda, a cross-communication strategy can be built with the WDC CDMX 2018 networks in order to extend the reach of each project and therefore of the local creative scene.
